Bringing my design expertise to my favorite sport, cycling, has always been a blast. Over the years, I’ve built a strong relationship within the cycling community, particularly in Brazil, which has led to collaborations with global brands like Strava, Specialized, and Red Bull. This connections resulted in the opportunity to work with Red Bull and NOMAD (check it out their Rebrand project) to develop the visual identity for Brazil’s first Gravel race.

The Red Bull Gravel X is a point-to-point competition inspired by the original gravel events in the US and Europe. Covering nearly 300 km with 4.5k meters of elevation gain, the race takes place through the stunning landscape of the Vale Europeu. I was tasked with designing all visual materials for the event, starting from the logo, which was developed internally by Red Bull. From there, I created the key visual poster and collateral pieces, including the event portal, podium signage, athlete bib numbers, jerseys (in partnership with Strava), and even the medals and trophies.

The illustration style chosen for the key visual was meant to create a bold impact, emphasizing the event’s intensity. Each design piece used vibrant colors and dynamic graphics to reflect the excitement and challenge of the race, making the Red Bull Gravel X a visually memorable experience.
